Advancing digital innovation for learning at Leeds
Now in its 5th edition, the report celebrates the projects, programmes and events that have enriched teaching and learning at Leeds–along with the colleagues whose expertise and commitment made them possible.
We’d like to extend our congratulations to all staff involved in the achievements celebrated in this report. Your work has helped to put the University on the map, and the impact on students across campus and beyond is profound. As we look ahead, we‘re excited to continue our shared journey, ensuring that innovation, inclusivity and excellence remain central to every student’s experience.

Highlights include:
- the launch of the University's first Sustainability Blueprint for Digital Education,
- seven fully online degree programmes delivered, including the newly launched Genomic Medicine with Data Science MSc and Global Health MSc,
- three online professional learning programmes delivered in collaboration with industry partners,
- over 20 cross-institutional learning design projects completed,
- 340 educational videos and animations created,
- over 500 members of the Digital Education Network,
- the successful rollout of mandatory AI training for all staff and students,
- the biggest ever Online Learning Summit with over 200 attendees from across the UK and beyond,
- Over 800 students graduated virtually,
- new digital learning resources to help students avoid fraud,
- 80+ digital skills workshops delivered for students through the University Libraries,
- innovative uses of VR in the curriculum.
