HELIX shortlisted for prestigious THE Award
HELIX – the University’s pioneering hub for digital innovation – has been shortlisted for Technological or Digital Innovation of the Year in this year’s Times Higher Education (THE) Awards.
The winners of the coveted accolades will be announced at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on 13 November.
Cross-disciplinary collaboration
Launched in 2023, HELIX was established to transform the way colleagues and students create, collaborate and co-design across disciplines.
The facility represents a £3.2 million investment to drive the future of education and enterprise, blending cutting-edge digital technology with an ethos of openness and accessibility.

Double nomination
HELIX is one of two nominations for Leeds in this year's THE Awards. Helena Brown, Technician Specialist for the Sorby Environmental Fluid Dynamics Laboratory in the School of Earth and Environment, has also been named as a finalist for Outstanding Technician of the Year.
