Join us on 1st of May at the University of Leeds Showcase. The Showcase, which will be hosted in Nexus from 12pm, features an open exhibition and a rich programme of workshops.

21st Century Digital Skills for a Diverse Workforce

Following a refreshing drinks reception, we will be hosting a panel discussion around the challenges of securing a diverse range of staff with appropriate values, attributes and skills for the 21st Century workplace.

This session, chaired by Professor Neil Morris, Dean for Digital Education at the University of Leeds, will introduce a series of new online courses being developed with support from TechMums, UK Black Tech and Nesta.  The courses are funded by the Institute of Coding to support learners in developing 21st-century skills to improve their opportunities for employment and enhance their career. Following the panel discussion, you will be encouraged to have a say in shaping these courses to ensure that they are relevant and appropriate.  Come and contribute to the design of new online courses to support employability.
