Adam Richardson (Digital Education Manager for Student Education), Claudia Rogers (Academic Practice Manager)
This presentation from the University of Leeds Student Education Conference (2022) looks at how academic integrity offences can be explored to enable a clearer understanding of the challenges faced by postgraduate students when completing assessments for fully online degree programmes.
By creating a detailed workbook to capture data from each case, Adam and Claudia explore the different types of offences committed on the MSc Engineering Management programme, including when and how they take place, in order to determine trends in malpractice and plagiarism.
This research has been used shape the work of the Digital Education Service in designing fully online programmes to support the University's Digital Transformation strategy.
