Bookings and Cancellations

Bookings and payment

Bookings must be made through the University of Leeds online store. Places will be confirmed once full payment has been received. Payment must be received within 14 days of invoice unless otherwise agreed. We regret that participants must be over 18 years of age to enrol.

Substitutions and transfers

If you are unable to attend, you may nominate a colleague to take your place at no additional cost, provided you notify us in writing at least one week before the course. Date transfers may be permitted at our discretion subject to availability.

Cancellations by participants

Cancellations must be made in writing to the organising team (email addresses provided in booking confirmation).

  • For cancellations more than 4 weeks before the start date, we will refund 75% of the fee (retaining 25% to cover administration and pre-course costs).
  • For cancellations 2–4 weeks before the start date, we will refund 50% of the fee.
  • For cancellations within 2 weeks of the start date or for nonattendance, no refund will be given.  We will consider transfers to a later cohort on a case-by-case basis but cannot guarantee availability.

Cancellations by the University

We reserve the right to postpone or cancel a course if minimum numbers are not met or if unforeseen circumstances occur (e.g., trainer illness or extreme weather). In such cases we will offer participants the choice of a full refund or transfer to a later date. The University will not be liable for any consequential expenses (e.g., travel or accommodation).

Photography and recording

Sessions may be photographed or recorded for marketing and quality assurance purposes. We will inform delegates at the start of the course and provide the opportunity to opt out of appearing in photographs or recordings. Where images are used publicly, we will ensure participants are not personally identifiable without consent.

Intellectual property and trademarks

The LEGO® trademark and brick configurations are owned by the LEGO Group. Participation does not entitle delegates to use the LEGO® logo or minifigure in their marketing or visual branding. Delegates may describe themselves as Certified LEGO® Serious Play® Facilitators and may use the approved phrasing: “This workshop uses LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® materials and methodology provided by a certified facilitator.”

Liability

While every reasonable measure will be taken to ensure a safe and productive learning environment, the University cannot accept responsibility for personal belongings or travel disruptions. Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for personal injury or fraud.

Privacy and data protection

See refer to the privacy notice for details on how we handle delegate data.
