In this opening session, we will reflect on our Panopto journey and the wider context of Media Enhanced Learning at the University before hearing from our first keynote speaker.
09.45am Keynote: Beyond Capturing the Lecture: Video, Engagement and Student Learning
Speaker: Dr Nicholas Worsfold, Associate Pro Vice Chancellor for Education, Brunel University of London
What does it really mean to put students at the centre of how we design learning? Drawing on his experience as Associate Pro Vice Chancellor for Education at Brunel University London and as a practitioner who has embedded video throughout his own teaching, Nicholas makes the case that tools like Panopto can move beyond simple lecture capture to become a genuine driver of authentic, student-centred learning.

Get to know the Panopto platform in an informal and supportive setting - hear about the platform's top features and take the opportunity to record a short video using Panopto. This session includes a short break.
- Immersive Experiences Workshop and Case Studies
Josh Gregg and Dr Danielle Millea
Take Media Enhanced Learning to the next level with this two-part workshop focusing on immersive tools for learning. Part One will focus on how Bodyswaps uses AI and immersive technology to let students practise empathy and communication skills on campus. Part Two is a hands-on session where you will use the ThingLink platform to create interactive content. This session includes a short break.
- Digital Accessibility Minimum Expectations (DAME) — Making Your Modules DAME Ready!

In this workshop, we will talk about the University's Digital Accessibility Minimum Expectations (DAME), and look together at some common accessibility problems and how to fix them. There will also be time to work on your Minerva 2026/27 modules in the session with Digital Education colleagues on hand to help! This session includes a short break.
