Professor Emily Nordmann PFHEA

Professor of Evidence-Informed Education
Associate Dean of Learning and Teaching - College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences, University of Glasgow

Emily is Associate Dean for Learning and Teaching and Professor of Evidence-Informed Education at the University of Glasgow. Her research predominantly focuses on lecture capture, how it can be used as an effective study tool by students and the impact on students from widening participation backgrounds, as well as those with disabilities and neurodivergent conditions.

Her leadership roles have centred around supporting those on the learning, teaching and scholarship track. She is the current lead of the College of MVLS LTS Network and previously founded and led the Pedagogy and Education Research Unit in the School of Psychology and Neuroscience.

 

 

 


Dr Nicholas Worsfold

Nick has taught students in biosciences, environmental sciences and geography since 2008. With a background in ecology, he loves teaching outside the classroom, inspiring students to learn about their natural environment. He has designed and led degree programmes and is an advocate of an ambitious yet inclusive curriculum, encouraging students to climb as high as they can by providing a robust safety net.

Nick is now Associate Pro-Vice Chancellor for Education at Brunel University of London, where he leads on student voice, personal tutoring and a range of projects to enhance education and the student experience. He was previously the Associate Dean for Student Experience for the College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences at Brunel. Nick is currently co-PI on a QAA-funded project evaluating the impact of embedding authentic assessment and is the co-Chair of the British Ecological Society's Teaching and Learning Group.
